Ammonites

Homeland: Ammon (modern Jordan)

The Ammonites were descendants of Ben-Ammi, son of Lot and his younger daughter. They settled northeast of Moab, with their capital at Rabbah (modern Amman, Jordan).

They were frequent enemies of Israel, particularly during the period of judges. King David conquered them, and the prophet Jeremiah pronounced judgment against them.
