Midianites

Homeland: Midian (northwest Arabia)

The Midianites were descendants of Midian, son of Abraham by Keturah. They were a nomadic people inhabiting the desert regions of northwest Arabia and the Sinai.

Moses fled to Midian, married Zipporah daughter of the priest Jethro, and received his call at the burning bush there. Later, Midianites oppressed Israel until defeated by Gideon.
