Qin Unifies China

Qin Shi Huang conquered the remaining Warring States and unified China under a single empire, standardizing weights, measures, currency, and writing. He began construction of the Great Wall.

While geographically distant from the biblical world, the Qin dynasty illustrates the global trend toward large empires during the Hellenistic and Roman periods.
