The Fall
4004 BCE (scriptural)
The Fall
The serpent, more cunning than any beast, tempted Eve: “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
Eve ate the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and gave some to Adam, who was with her. He ate as well.
Their eyes were opened. They knew they were naked and sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves. When they heard God walking in the garden, they hid from his presence.
