King of Israel who “did more evil than all before him.” Married Jezebel and promoted Baal worship. Opposed by Elijah. Murdered Naboth for his vineyard. Showed some repentance after Elijah’s rebuke. Died in battle despite a disguise; dogs licked his blood as prophesied.
