Bartholomew

One of the twelve apostles of Jesus. Often identified with Nathanael, whom Philip brought to Jesus. Jesus called him “an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” Tradition says he preached in India, Armenia, and Ethiopia. Martyred by being flayed alive.
