Taken to Babylon as a youth, trained in Babylonian wisdom but remained faithful to God. Interpreted Nebuchadnezzar’s dreams and the writing on the wall for Belshazzar. Survived the lions’ den under Darius. His visions of future kingdoms and the “Son of Man” profoundly influenced Jewish and Christian eschatology.
