Ehud

Left-handed judge from the tribe of Benjamin who delivered Israel from Moabite oppression. After eighteen years under King Eglon of Moab, God raised Ehud as deliverer. Using his left-handedness as tactical advantage—guards did not expect a weapon on his right side—Ehud assassinated the obese king and led Israel to victory, killing about 10,000 Moabite warriors and securing eighty years of peace (Judges 3:12-30). His deliverance exemplifies the cycle of apostasy, oppression, and deliverance that characterized the judges era.
