Elijah

One of the greatest prophets, who challenged the worship of Baal promoted by King Ahab and Queen Jezebel. Called down fire from heaven on Mount Carmel to defeat 450 prophets of Baal. Announced drought and rain. Taken to heaven in a whirlwind with a chariot of fire. Expected to return before the Messiah (Malachi 4:5). Appeared with Moses at Jesus’ transfiguration. A prophet in Islam.
