One of Judah’s best kings, who “trusted in the LORD” like no king before or after. Removed idolatry and centralized worship in Jerusalem. When Assyria’s Sennacherib besieged Jerusalem, he prayed and an angel destroyed 185,000 soldiers. Given 15 extra years of life after praying during illness.
