Isaiah

Major prophet in Judah during the reigns of Uzziah through Hezekiah. Called in a vision of God’s throne. Prophesied the virgin birth (7:14), suffering servant (53), and messianic kingdom. Advised kings during Assyrian crisis. His book spans themes from judgment to comfort (“Comfort, comfort my people”).
