Jeremiah

The “weeping prophet” who preached for 40 years as Judah fell. Called as a youth, he faced constant opposition, imprisonment, and threats. Predicted 70 years of exile but also promised restoration and a “new covenant” written on hearts. Witnessed Jerusalem’s destruction and wrote Lamentations. Taken to Egypt against his will.
