Apostle to the Gentiles, Christianity’s greatest missionary and theologian. Originally a Pharisee who persecuted Christians until his conversion on the Damascus road. Undertook three missionary journeys, founded churches throughout the Mediterranean, wrote 13 New Testament letters (Romans through Philemon). His theology of grace, faith, and the body of Christ shaped Christian doctrine. Martyred in Rome.
