Cana
Also known as: Cana of Galilee, Kafr Kanna, Khirbet Qana
Modern: Israel
Cana
A small village in Galilee made famous as the site of Jesus’s first miracle, turning water into wine at a wedding feast (John 2:1-11). Also where Jesus healed a royal official’s son from a distance (John 4:46-54) and the hometown of the apostle Nathanael (John 21:2). The exact location is debated, with the traditional site at Kafr Kanna and an archaeological alternative at Khirbet Qana, but its significance as the place where Jesus “revealed his glory” remains central to Christian tradition.
