Daniel and friends (Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego) taken ~605 BCE; serve in court. Friends survive fiery furnace. Daniel interprets dreams, reads writing on wall, survives lions’ den. Ezekiel has visions: throne-chariot, valley of dry bones, new Temple. Psalm 137: “How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a foreign land?”
