Aisha

Wife of Muhammad and daughter of Abu Bakr, known as “Mother of the Believers.” Renowned for her intelligence, scholarship, and sharp memory; transmitted over 2,000 hadith, making her a major source for Islamic jurisprudence and knowledge of Muhammad’s private life. Muhammad died in her arms in 632 CE. After his death, she remained influential in early Islam and led forces against Caliph Ali in 656 CE over the murder of Caliph Uthman. Spent her later years in Medina teaching and transmitting hadith.
