James (brother of Jesus)

Brother (or half-brother/cousin) of Jesus who became leader of the Jerusalem church. Initially skeptical, he believed after Jesus’ resurrection appeared to him. Presided at the Jerusalem Council (Acts 15). Author of the Letter of James. Known for his piety; thrown from the Temple and clubbed to death.
