Jesus

Central figure of Christianity, believed by Christians to be the Son of God, Messiah, and Savior whose death atones for sin and whose resurrection guarantees eternal life. Taught about the Kingdom of God, performed miracles, challenged religious authorities. Crucified under Pontius Pilate, and according to Christian faith, rose on the third day. In Islam, a major prophet (not divine) born of a virgin, worker of miracles, who was not crucified but raised to heaven and will return.
