Mark

Author of the Gospel of Mark, traditionally based on Peter’s teaching. Accompanied Paul and Barnabas on their first journey but left early, causing a later rift. Barnabas took him; Paul eventually reconciled with him. Tradition says he founded the church in Alexandria.
