Last judge and first major prophet after Moses. Dedicated to God before birth, raised at Shiloh. Heard God’s voice as a child. Anointed both Saul and David as king. Warned Israel about the dangers of monarchy. Even after death, his spirit was summoned by the witch of Endor.
