Uriah the Hittite

One of David’s mighty warriors, a Hittite who served Israel faithfully. When David committed adultery with his wife Bathsheba, Uriah was called home but refused to enjoy his home while his comrades were at war. David had him placed in battle to be killed. His faithfulness contrasts with David’s sin.
