Terah

Father of Abraham. Originally from Ur of the Chaldeans, he began the journey toward Canaan but settled in Haran. According to Joshua 24:2, he worshipped other gods. In Islamic tradition (as Azar), he was an idol-maker whom Abraham challenged.
